http://www.quietoaksbedandbreakfast.com/ Mary Jean Adams is the proprietor. She is from Canada and offers accomodations and kayaking tours for groups. Farther south on the coast is http://www.slowrideguide.com/, operated by Dean and Jennifer Thomas. They are kayak specialists and receive favorable feed back from many patrons. One more closer to Galveston and Brazoria county where I reside is http://captainscottnull.com/ an accomplish guide for both kayak and skiff.
WS Tarpon 140. I tried the Hobie Mirage Drive on a Revo and Adventure but for me it was a knee killer. A couple of friends have Hobies and the hands free propulsion is attractive. The Tarpon is a good boat. Nice deck layout. Reasonably fast for covering water ( I cover anywhere from 2-13 miles in a session) and it is stable ( that is if you don't try to stand) with a low profile that minimizes the effect of wind. I've had three SOT, a Prism, a Marquesa 14, and the Tarpon. The Tarpon is my favorite.
